Both of mine are obsessed — we're here most weekends. A full two hours of play and a proper flat white for me while they burn it all off. Alfie's 4th birthday party here was completely faultless.
Spotlessly clean, the staff are wonderful and the kids absolutely adore Captain Ted. Easily the best soft play in the North East — we drive past two others to get here.
We hired the whole place for the twins' birthday and the party host ran the entire thing, so for once we actually got to sit down. Worth every single penny — book early!

Walk-ins are always welcome, but weekends and school holidays get busy. Booking a session guarantees your spot, and it takes under a minute.
Socks must be worn by everyone on the soft play at all times. Comfy clothes do the rest.
Our soft play is for children aged 0–10. There's a separate cushioned area for babies and toddlers, plus the main play frame for older children.
No — only food and drinks purchased from our café can be consumed at Captain Ted's.
Yes — everything on The Cafe menu is clearly labelled, and the crew are happy to talk you through the options. Just have a word when you order.
Our centre is fully accessible by wheelchair.
